Lain Singh Bangdel
Lain Singh Bangdel was more than an artist; he was a servant of art who devoted his life to exploring creativity and self. Born in Darjeeling and educated in Paris. Bangdel’s artistic journey was one of perspective and synthesis. He blended the modernist techniques he encountered in the West with the traditional Nepali themes and motifs that were so deeply ingrained in his identity. This curiosity and exploration are reflected in every piece he created, displaying a deep respect for his cultural heritage while embracing the possibilities of modern art.
