Takpa Gallery is proud to present its first show ‘Personal Realities’ with artists Urgen Dorje and Tsherin Sherpa. The show explores their parallel practices as they take buddhist philosophy andiconography and then mold it to reflect their personal worldviews and aesthetics. Urgen Dorje’s art practice derives from decades of training in traditional thangka art. He seeks to reiterate a classical narrative style of thangka painting through careful use of symbols, motifs and colors.
